Working as part of the UK’s most well known events, our role at the Virgin Money London Marathon 2019 was to supplement and support the infrastructure in place, both during the build up and during the big day itself.

Provided with a diverse brief of roles and requirements, we utilised the previous major event experience shared amongst us, dividing up the work in relation to our specific expertise. This resulted in PaceUp Media being able to function across social media content creation, pre-race media calls, live broadcast shows, ExCel event activation and coverage of the race day; professionals and mass participants. Key to success was our ability to assimilate amongst the in-house team, allowing a seamless implementation of our agreed work, while also being able to further collaborate beyond these defined roles when suitable.

The success of our time spent at the Virgin Money London Marathon 2019 was exemplified best by the results evident across digital operations. Impressions, growth and engagement was up on all channels, while #LondonMarathon itself gained in excess of 1 billion views from the highly active community.
