Location: Currently flexible working with 1-2 days in the office as agreed with the Account Manager. Office is located at Brickfields, 37 Cremer Street, Hoxton, London E2 8HD

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 6pm flexible, with occasional weekend responsibilities

Reports to: Account Managers

Role Responsibilities

The Social Media Marketing Executive will champion PaceUp’s Social Media projects across a range of clients. From content creation to planning and delivery, the role encompasses all areas of Social Media delivery across both Organic and Paid campaigns with the support of the Marketing Manager and Account Managers.

Social Media Activity:

  • Day-to-day account and content management
  • Community management
  • Influencer and Ambassador campaign management
  • Develop strategic content plans, scripting and publishing content
  • Content creation, together with 3rd party content producers (graphic design and photography/videography)
  • Paid campaign management
  • Providing and reporting on ROI for brands through both paid and organic social media through web traffic (via Analytics) and sales

The Social Media Executive role will also encompass time spent assisting the Marketing Manager in creating and delivering email campaigns across a range of clients, as part of wider marketing strategies.

Content ideation and creation will also play a key role in the working week, including writing and editing quality, compelling copy designed to engage consumers across a range of brands and for a variety of purposes.

Additional areas of involvement would include:

  • Support on-site event teams to deliver social media and press office services at high profile functions such as the London Marathon, The Cycle Show and Rouleur Live.
  • Supporting PR activity where required.
  • Managing clients’ website CMS
  • Support the generation of new business, external pitches and meetings with prospective clients, alongside Account Managers and Company Director.

Candidate Requirements

  • A passion for endurance sport and an active lifestyle
  • Experience with an agency or brand experience across marketing, social media management and content creation; or relevant degree
  • Strong time management skills to be able to plan time across a range of projects and clients throughout the week and month
  • Ability to develop several tones of voice across a range of different social media accounts, following and developing brand identities
  • Basic photography skills: competency with a DSLR and Photoshop
  • Understanding of Adobe Suite, Canva and similar content creation tools
  • High level of English copywriting proficiency
  • Understanding of website CMS such as WordPress
  • Basic understanding of Google Ads and Social Facebook Ads Manager


  • Additional foreign languages
  • Understanding of  email marketing softwares such as Mailchimp or Campaign Monitor
  • Understanding of SEO
